Kat has 15+ years' Physiotherapy experience and a special interest in supporting women to regain function and strength before and after childbirth.
Kat has experience treating a wide range of Women's & Pelvic Health conditions including bladder and bowel concerns (incontinence, urgency and constipation), pregnancy-related pelvic pain and back pain, pelvic floor checks after childbirth, blocked ducts and recurrent mastitis.
Originally from Auckland, Kat holds a Bachelor of Health Science (Physiotherapy) and a Postgraduate Certificate (Acupuncture) from AUT. She is also a qualified Pilates / Oov instructor and where appropriate can incorporate 1:1 Mat and Reformer Pilates sessions into treatment plans for her clients.
Prior to focussing on the Pelvic Health, Kat gained experience across a wide range of general musculoskeletal fields, including sports physiotherapy. As keen sportswoman, Kat was always fascinated with how the human body works and what you can do to improve performance. Kat's experience includes being a Sports Physiotherapist for a number of elite sports teams including NZ Junior Track Cyclists, NZ Futsal, Auckland Football Federation Women’s Premiers and Auckland Women’s Sevens.
